Use of Our Product and Liability
Our product is waterslide decals for use by experienced modellers. Use of our product may require the use of sharp knives or similar instruments and is therefore unsuitable for young or inexperienced modellers. Neither Custom Model Decals or its owner Andrew E. Jeffcock shall be held responsible for any injuries incurred during the using of our decals.
Copyright & Intellectual Property
All decals and artwork produced by Custom Model Decals remains the copyright of Custom Model Decals and it’s owners and may not be copied or used for any purpose without the written permission of Custom Model Decals’s owners or staff. Custom Model Decals retain the right to modify, copy and use any designs produced by them for the client. This use may be relinquished if agreed, in writing, at the project specification stage with regard to use of custom decal designs.
Ownership of property & intellectual property rights
The items sold by Custom Model Decals remain the property of Custom Model Decals until such time as they have received full payment for the items in cleared funds. Custom Model Decals retain the intellectual property rights on all items produced by the business unless specifically released in writing.
We shall endeavour to dispatch your decals within 15 working days from the date of your acceptance of the design and payment is received.. We shall use 1st Class tracked post within the U.K. and will send your decals protected by a card reinforced envelope. Custom Model Decals shall not be responsible for the condition of the decals should they arrive damaged in transit unless you request and pay for insured special delivery.
UK & Overseas Delivery
Custom Model Decals will despatch UK and overseas deliveries using signed for 1st Class tracked postage using Royal Mail. Custom Model Decals shall not be responsible for any delays in delivery caused by Customs or overseas delivery services.
Customs Duties and Importation Taxes
Custom Model Decals will declare the full cost of the commission on Customs Declaration forms. It is the responsibility of the client to pay any duties or taxes required by their country for the importation of goods.
Use of decal fixatives, decal softeners, lacquers and varnishes with our decals
We shall not be responsible for any damage or spoiling of a model by the application of our decals which may possibly be caused by the use of decal fixatives, decal softeners, varnishes and lacquers that have not been tested on the decals by the client before they are applied to the model. THE USE OF NITRO CELLULOSE AND OTHER SOLVENT BASED LACQUERS IS NOT APPROVED FOR USE WITH OUR DECALS UNLESS STATED IN OUR ENCLOSED INSTRUCTION SHEET.
It is strongly recommended that the user makes a test of any lacquers, paints or varnishes for compatibility with our decals before committing the decals to use on any model or surface.
Custom Model Decals recommend the use of Vallejo Decal Fix and Vallejo Decal Softener with its normal (13 micron) and ‘ultrathin’ (6 micron) decal papers. Decal softeners of any type are not recommended for use with our ‘filmfree’ decal system.
Please be aware that virtually all items on our store are printed to order. We DO NOT guarantee to keep any items as stock. Items marked “back order” will need to be printed and our 15 working day delivery schedule will apply to those orders.
By placing an order, whether from our store or custom made, you consent to these terms and conditions. You hereby understand that the items you are ordering are hand made, made to order items that are created by us specifically for your order.
By requesting digital proofs you agree to pay a minimum of £30 design fee regardless of whether you subsequently have decals printed.
New customers may be asked to pay a non-returnable deposit of £30 before design work is undertaken.
Once your order is placed we do not allow alterations to sizing, material or images, nor do we permit refunds to be given in the event that these terms were overlooked and agreed to.
If you receive an item from us, ordered from our store, that is incorrect you may contact us and we will be happy to assist you in an exchange for the correct items originally ordered. This does not apply to custom made items.
Once an order is made it is NON REFUNDABLE, this applies to both custom made orders and orders made from our store. Refunds will not be made in the event of impatience or unforeseen circumstances.
Please be aware any adjustments you want made to the products listed on our store, e.g. colour way (excluding scale size) will incur an extra charge of £10.00
PLEASE DO NOT ORDER MADE TO ORDER ITEMS OR CUSTOM ITEMS IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS.
On shipment of items: Upon placing an order your order may be split into multiple shipments to get you your products as soon as possible. Some products may take longer than others to create and upon completion will be shipped immediately.
Do not be surprised if you receive your items from your order individually. If you have any concerns about the whereabouts of your unfulfilled items on your order than feel free to contact us via our Contact Us system
We do not accept returns on any custom designed items.
We do not give refunds for orders canceled due to impatience or incorrect orders attributed to customer error.
Please double check to make sure your order is correct before submitting payment! We will not provide a refund on orders.
Please make sure you select the correct design prior to completing your order.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Our contact form is an integrated customer/business communication system that stores your correspondence with us to facilitate the running of the business. Under the terms of GDPR you may ask for this correspondence to be deleted once it is of no further relevance to the business.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

This site runs using Secure Socket Layer technology which encrypts all interaction between your device and our server. We use PayPal for payments and we record no credit/debit card information ourselves, relying on PayPal to take payments.
